This is the first light of new camera, Chris Appleton said:
Last night I was finally able to test a new planetary camera kindly sent to me from Vanessa at Player One and their very own UV/IR 1.25 inch filter. This camera is the Neptune-C II USB3.0 Color Camera (IMX464) and has a very high resolution. Not much out yet as far as planets go but the moon was at 45% phase and I wanted to try out this camera even though the moon was low at 40 degrees Altitude. I was using my 10 inch RC scope at native F8. This image was created in Maxim DL as a 16 pane mosaic and was cleaned up a bit in Photoshop CS3. The Neptune-C II USB3.0 Color Camera (IMX464) will make an excellent very high-resolution camera and is very clean with minimum noise and hot/warm pixels. Congratulations go out to Player One Camera for producing an excellent well packaged planetary camera!
